You can, but you really shouldn't. My back is not pleased. Full writeup TK.

I’ve driven a white 4Runner from PA to Florida in a day.

Then you know my tale.

Mine is 20 years older, but has kick ass full 1990's bolstered seats. Driving an Aveo from Hilton Head to Lexington, SC was far worse.

That sounds horrible.

Now that I think about it the bolstered seats in my brother’s ‘98 are much more comfortable than the cloth rock I was just sitting on for 2000 miles.

My seats are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in. I feel as if I would be disappointed by driving a new 4Runner.

It was not great. But the BBQ sandwich for lunch in North Carolina was. So it’s a draw.

The south isn’t great, but we have good BBQ

I’m glad to hear you made it home safely. I’ve done Eastern NC to PA in a day plenty of times, so when I saw you were planning GA to NYC in a day I knew it was pretty ambitious. Looking forward to hearing about your trip.

Two summers ago, we drove from Crossville, TN to Austin, TX. Google says it’s a bit more than 13 hours, but it was more like 16, with three kids in the van. They traveled well, though, but it was a long, long day.

That’s bold. My parents put me and my brother through several Connecticut-to-Florida dashes in the early 90s (no screens! horror!) before deciding the toll on their mental well-being outweighed the cost of plane tickets.

I do this a few times a year to visit my in laws. In one shot, with two dogs, a 2 year old and a wife who sleeps most of the trip. And since I’m a motion-sick prone passenger I drive the whole way

I also drove the whole way, but that's some next level stuff there. Lotta straight lines.

I drove from Alice Texas to Roswell Georgia in one day in a 1997 Ford Explorer sport running on 5 cylinders with blown suspension. That was the worst drive I ever made, 17 hours of pure hell.

We usually leave around 7pm so my kid falls asleep around 8, 8:30 or so and we can get a solid 12 hours of interruption free driving. I got all the way to the Iowa-Illinois border before I saw our 20th car

We had planned on stopping in Little Rock, but it would have made for a short drive the next day, so we figured we'd push through and save on the hotel. We got in at about 1 am cdt after leaving TN at 8 am edt. Long day.

I remember when we (my dad did all the driving) went from NJ to SW Florida straight through. Crazy. But we were in the Volvo so it rode well and seats were supportive.

Balls. This is the most I’ve done in one day.
It says 9.5 hours, with stopping for gas and food it took 12.

Good work!
I used to do Wilkes-barre PA to Memphis TN once a year. It’s a tad over 1,000 miles and is supposed to be around 14.5hrs, but I have done it in 12ish. I do Somerset KY to Wilkes-barre PA about once a month now (700 miles, 10ish hrs). I did that one today as a matter of fact. I have this trip down to only 1 stop for food/gas.
If I time a trip right for maximum daylight and get some good music, time flies. Going through West Virginia really keeps me alert and occupied with the endless curves and high speed limits.
I can’t imagine having to do a long haul through some of the more boring landscapes and roads out in the Midwest.

Were the seats really that bad? I’ve road tripped in a 4Runner of this gen that my buddy owns. Granted it was only a five hour trip and he’s got a top of the damn line car, I thought it was pretty comfortable!
